Further if the actual cost exceeds these filing fees, the party requesting the service will be billed for the deficiency. Finally, the mention of counterclaims, crossclaims, and third party complaints in material dealing with forcible entry and detainer actions and small claims actions, and the mention of various methods of service, are merely recognition that some parties attempt such practice and should pay the costs of such attempts. If you did not provide proof of insurance to the officer at the time the ticket/citation was issued, a copy of your insurance card or policy showing the beginning and ending dates of coverage must be shown to the Court. The policy/card must include the date of the violation and the vehicle driven at the time the ticket/complaint was issued. Insurance obtained after the violation will not be accepted and will result in the suspension of your operator’s license by the Ohio BMV.
